Abstract
New technologies have created opportunities for participatory learning for students and new, connected ways for teachers to access professional development. Some of these, such as blogs and wikis, are suitable as learning platforms for students of all ages. Twitter is one of the most powerful tools in terms of instant accessibility to huge numbers of people, but it is one of the most challenging to set up to work effectively. Tania Sheko explores the power of Twitter with many helpful hints for the uninitiated.
